Here   We    Go

May 27, 2020

There are things I have been waiting for years that feel impossible. We all have them. Those things that when we look with our natural eyes there is absolutely no way the situation can be any different. We pray and ask for faith and for God to "help us with our unbelief," yet if you are like me, with the passing of time the weight of impossibility takes a toll.

We get discouraged. We develop the wrong attitude - complain, doubt, lose hope. Some even give up.

Been there. Done that.

Last week I learned something that...

As a result of COVID-19 our world has been quarantined. Cities and businesses have closed, churches are silent, and people are figuring out how to work remotely.  After much anticipation, our church in Tennessee has announced that on May 31, 2020 we will re-open our doors and join back together for service. Many others are doing the same. It is not by chance that this is taking place on the Day of Pentecost!

The day of Pentecost refers to the Jewish festival that was celebrated on the 50th day after Pa...

I was awakened at 4:41 am this morning (9/19/19) and was given these words that I believe are a corporate word for God's bride:

There is a mantle that is over a chosen remnant that the Lord is giving a double portion. He is sharpening senses and will bear witness to things that have been and will be revealed to you.

Those who are totally surrendered and willing to be obedient no matter the cost are going to inherit their birthright. The fullness of it.

It will be heavy. It won't be easy. It will bear a co...

Wow I have been so negligent in blogging while publishing my new book. Praying I can get back into this discipline of blogging once a week. Here is one I got today:

On Friday I had a meeting at the end of the day off site at a coffee shop down the street from my office. I was running out, closed my office door and BAM - I locked my keys in my office! No big deal right? Just find someone with an office master key to let you back in, right?

Problem is the master key one of my co-worker has doesn’t work on my adminis...

Have you ever said, "some day I want to _________" in a way creating an internal bucket list? Sure. We all have. One of mine was, "some day I want to write a book." This personal declaration was usually followed by people asking, "what do you want to write about?" I had no idea. I just knew I wanted to write a book. I didn't need to know the topic because the timing wasn't ripe. I just knew the bigger picture of an assignment.

Then when God gave me specifics in 2015 it overwhelmed me. I had NO idea where to start...

I recently posted asking what people would like to read in a blog. Thanks Barbie for suggesting the topic of Christian singleness. Truth be told, before becoming a Christian I didn't know how to be single. I went from one long term relationship to another and sadly defined myself through the men in those relationships. When I came to the saving knowledge and grace of Jesus I was engaged and living with a man who was verbally abusive. After rededicating my life to Jesus and realizing I was living in sin, I eventua...

When I began my career it was commonplace for employees to remain in the same career and with the same company throughout the span of their life. There was a sense of loyalty, submission, and long suffering attached to the place and people who compensated you. Over the years there's been a major culture shift and the rules of employment have changed. My generation had the mindset of having one job in ten years, whereas the new trend is having two - three jobs (and possibly even multiple career changes) in the sam...

So this is a two part blog on discipleship with this being part 2. So, if you missed part one posted on March 19, 2018 make sure to read both. Part one is from the perspective of the discipler and this part two blog is from the perspective of the discipled.

My name is Stephanie Kelleher, the woman who Kaitrin has discipled since 1999ish. There are lots of things that I believe similarly to the Valencia’s. One of those things is that you NEED people “up, across and down” in your life. If you don’t understand that i...

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..." Hebrews 12:2 KJV

A few nights ago in deep prayer, I prayed these words from Scripture: "God you are the author and finisher of my faith.  I trust in you." After these words, I stopped in dead silence from that fervent prayer.

Saying that word has a new meaning now. I was hearing it for the first time from the perspective of being an author. Despite fear and insecurities, I've authored regular blogs and written 2 books that are both in...

My husband and I have a belief that everyone should have people "up, across and down" in your life. What does this mean? You should have someone older or further along in their Christian journey pouring into you. You should have someone at the same stage as you (a peer) who you're doing life with. And you should have someone younger who you're pouring in to and discipling. This blog is a window into a few things I have learned about the later on the side of discipler.  Stay tuned for the "Other Side of Lessons in...
